REVIEW: Saaab Stories – Action Bronson & Harry Fraud

Action Bronson & Harry Fraud - Saab StoriesAction Bronson & Harry Fraud
Saaab Stories
 Vice / Atlantic; 2013

Score (Beats Per Minute scale): 70 / 100

Action Bronson’s new EP, Saaab Stories, is entertaining but the least enjoyable album the Flushing, Queens rapper has released to date. Most of that has to do with Harry Fraud’s production, however, which doesn’t give the MC’s largesse enough room to breathe. Click here to read my review over at Beats Per Minute.

VIDEO: “Come On” – Grayskul

NEW MUSIC: “All It Takes” – Def Dee (feat. Magestik Legend, Jamall Bufford & Hassaan Mackey)

Def Dee - 33 and a Third

Seattle-area producer Def Dee is about to “make it out” of the region (whatever that means) with the release of 33 and a Third on that fine purveyor of indie-ground rap, Mello Music Group. Watch for the album with guest features listed above on July 30. “All It Takes” is the warm up, a fine example of boom-bap eloquence featuring two Detroit spitters, Magestik Legend and Jamall Bufford, and upstate New Yorker, Hassaan Mackey.
