Fuse TV’s Cassius Michael Kim made the cross-country trek from BK to Seattle to do this mini-doc on the Seattle rap scene. It’s no The Otherside but it’ll do.

VIDEO: “An Echo from the Hosts that Profess Infinitum” – Shabazz Palaces
Alright, enough Yeezus. Now for some soul-cleansing: the striking, beautiful new video from Shabazz Palaces.
VIDEO: “Drunk Talk” – Brothers From Another (dir. by Paul Erlandson)
More of the ongoing antics of Brothers From Another as they try their damnedest to find Tacos on Broadway.
VIDEO: “This is Hip Hop” – Fleeta Partee (feat. Yirim Seck, Jarrard Anthony & John Crown; dir. by The Notework)
Fleeta takes you to school. Literally.
VIDEO: “Ricky Pharoe is Bored – Episode #Two (Christopher Walken)”
Fuckin’ who gave Ricky Pharoe my email address? Until I find out, I definitely won’t be posting any more of his videos, least of all this series of one-offs where the rapper punches dope lines like you do clocks at your worthless day job. Fuckin’ amateurs (Walter Sobchak voice).
VIDEO: “Bambaataa” – Farid Xan (dir. by Steve Curran)
Farid Xan reps the Bay Area and Puget Sound in equal measure — if I’m not mistaken he’s from SF originally but attended college in Tacoma. Anyway, “Bambaataa” is a video he shot while visiting NYC (my current home) for the first time. Blak Mic and DJ Semaj contribute studio work and Steve Curran hopped behind the lens. Watch for Farid’s upcoming Prerolls & Carryons.
VIDEO: “These Kids Throw Rocks” – Raz Simone
The video for “These Kids Throw Rocks” was directed by Raz himself. Simple, elegant visuals for a track that stands tall without such embellishment. Get the MC’s Solomon Samuel Simone for free here.
VIDEO: “Tu Me Manques (a short film)” – Sax G (dir. by 10.4 Rog)
This short film, inspired by and featuring instrumentals from Sax G‘s Tu Me Manques, was conceived and directed by Roger Habon (aka 10.4 Rog). Per the Cloud Nice blog:
The story is told without words, the actors using only body language to convey powerful emotions. Takiyah Ward’s bold choreography contrasts delightfully with Sax G’s subtle expressions, invoking all-too-familiar feelings of love and distance.
VIDEO: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Interviewed by The Nature Conservancy
As a part of The Nature Conservancy’s All Hands on Earth Music campaign, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis share a few words on what it meant growing up in one of the most beautiful places in the United States. As a lifelong camping and canoeing enthusiast — and product of the impossibly resplendent San Juan Islands — I have to agree with everything they’ve said here.
VIDEO: “First Avenue” – Kore Ionz (feat. Prometheus Brown; dir. by Jeff Santos & Daniel Pak)
Rock/reggae crew Kore Ionz with the second single from their 2011 album, World War Free. “First Avenue” gets the video treatment and guest bars from one Prometheus Brown.
