Unlike Logics, Jake One (?) and IHOP, I hate it when my friends pay me in Kit Kats. Makes me feel like I’m 10 years old. F-ckers. Sometime-Seattle MC Sez Batters gets away with it here, the candy bar (get it?) presumably allegory for that dope rap sh-t, of which this is only a moderate example. VIDEO: “Maintain” – Steezie Nasa (dir. by Detooz Films)
New clip from BadAssYellowBoy, Steezie Nasa. John Harry Baluran (aka. Gfunkology) of Detooz Films on his grind again.
VIDEO: “Can’t See ‘Em” – Logics (feat. Element)
Another one from the (current) hardest working music video director in Town, John Harry Baluran, otherwise known as Gfunkology. For Logics and Element this time, “Can’t See ‘Em” is a joint from Logics’ strongest effort so far, Vintage Flow.
VIDEO: “Bad About You” – The Good Sin & 10.4 Rog (dir. by Detooz Films)
Sinseer the rapper got trouble on his mind in his first video from Late, the collaboration with producer 10.4 Rog. Detooz Films’ John Harry Baluran in the cut behind the lens.
VIDEO: “AllStar” – King Pulse (feat. Qswyft, DTK, One Kahleo, L. Hammond, Leon Swanks, & C Logic)
Fresh posse cut from King Pulse and a bunch of rappers I’ve never heard of. Matter of fact, I have no idea who King Pulse is either, but his Facebook says he’s a Detroit native who now grinds in Seattle. In any case, I enjoyed this. Shout-out to Detooz Films for more moves made, as well.
VIDEO: “Like A Movie (Steezattle)” – Steezie Nasa (feat. D. Carter)
Here’s guessing the Mariners brass wouldn’t be super happy about Steezie’s guerrilla video tactics in the 300 level. Kids will be kids, though. By the way, hella youngsters rockin’ the Air Max Griffey 95’s out in NY. Last time I was home I spent nearly an hour digging through my dad’s garage looking for my pair of originals and couldn’t find ’em. Damn you, Spring cleaning.
(P.S. Love the Sabzi cameo thrown in for good measure.)
DOWNLOAD: The Becoming – Antbeezy
The homie Antbeezy dropped his first mixtape project yesterday. Aside from being the tallest Filipino you will probably ever meet in your life (dude is 6’4″!), this young ‘un shows promising heart and hustle. His high-pitched, rapid-fire flow has come a long way since he first hit me up on the blog back in October ’09. The Becoming features a nice set of guest bars from Sol and Brothers From Another.

The clip above is a nice-to-meet-you glimpse at Brothers From Another, one of 206UP.COM’s favorite local rap crews puttin’ in good work these days.
