I saw Worf in the club geeking out to this last night. Seriously. Worf.

VIDEO: “I Just Wanna” – Jarv Dee (prod. by Raised By Wolves)
I heard the Cloud Nice clique has a strict dress code around the office. (Don’t smoke ‘n drive, kids.)
Dopamine presumably coming soon from Jarv Dee.

NEW MUSIC: “Cadillac Spaceships” & “In The Morning” – NW Factory by Members Only
Check out these two joints from the Members Only hive-mind, and throw a few dollars their way while you’re at it. It’s for a good cause: a fund to help support label co-founder Rob Milliron’s recovery from heart surgery. Incidentally, I recently saw Big Rob (as he’s known) on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives last week (it was a re-run) and now have a supreme hankering for that clam linguini at Bizzarro Cafe in Wallingford.
More from the MO press release:
During the recently past Summer the Members Only mind squad came up with a concept for a show featuring 100% new and original music crafted by unique combinations of vocalists, be them emcees or singers, with producers. We dubbed the night NW Factory.
Today we are excited to present to you two of the songs that were made for the evening. We are going to be taking donations for downloads to go towards helping our business partner Rob Milliron with his medical bills. He was undergoing major reconstructive heart surgery at the time Factory was happening.
“Cadillac Spaceships” saw State of the Artist member Parker and Cloud Nice representer Jarv Dee teaming up to wreak havoc over a bubbling and bass heavy WD4D slapper. Play as loud as your neighbors can stand.
“In The Morning” shows off a Parker production complete with a vibrant synth line that is sure to set the mood. If that’s not enough listen to the sweet harmonizing courtesy of Mario Sweet. Sport N Life’s young gun SK along with Parker cap the tune off with some bars aimed to please the ladies.
VIDEO: “Moor Gang” – Nacho Picasso (feat. Jarv Dee)
I rarely toot my own blog horn over here, but a few relevant posts ago I called Nacho Picasso “[Possibly] Seattle rap’s Next Big Thing.” That was here. This is now. After a big look today on Pitchfork, not to mention the previous not-quite-as-huge “Mixtape of the Week” selection over at Stereogum, it’s become quite clear that the Cloud Nice affiliate may soon turn my humble presage into a cold hard reality.
No matter. Dude (like this blogger) seems content to just do his thing, replying to my congratulatory Tweet today with this blushing response: “bro I’m in awe my damn self I aint even smoke yet I’m just high right now?lol” That reaction seems at odds with his often hostile demeanor on the album in question, For The Glory (which you can still grab for free here — I’d hurry if I were you). On FTG, Nacho moves predominantly in shadows, showing glimpses of revealing humor and pathos, but generally perpetuating an air of sociopathic deviancy (peep his latest clip above, “Moor Gang,” for a visual sample). Judging from today’s developments, however, the rapper must learn rather quickly that even the most expert night predators can’t exist solely in the darkness forever.
DOWNLOAD: Ziploc Hip-Hop – BadAssYellowBoyz

BadAssYellowBoyz = BAYB = Jarv Dee + Nacho Picasso + P Steez = Another bad creation from the Cloud Nice clique. BAYB’s Ziploc Hip-Hop is available for FREE download today.
ZLHP slaps your eardrums in a fashion unlike anything else currently doing in The Town — believe it. It’s profane, jocular and a notable sonic departure from what we’re used to hearing from the Cloud Nice space camp. Jarv Dee got jokes and disses, and Nacho Picasso sounds like Redman’s ankle biting cousin. Get it above and below.
VIDEO: “Extrahelladope” (State Of The Artist)
August 10th, 2010 is The Day of The Video, apparently. Peep SOTA’s visuals for “Extrahelladope” (featuring Helladope and Jarv Dee from the Cloud Nice camp). Stephan Gray is the man behind the lens on this one.

Any group that’s interested in properly representing Left Coast hip-hop should first take a trip down I-5 to the Golden State, the place where the West Coast sound was originally developed, nurtured, and fully realized. Something about the combination of fresh Pacific Ocean air, perpetually sunny weather, and other (ahem) “natural” remedies, fuse to get the creative juices flowing something proper.
Float On Cloud Nice
The Cloud Nice collective stay on their grind. Download Jarv Dee’s Talkin Sh*t EP here. It’s rude, crude, and often funny brag-rap. A little amateurish, sure, but it’s the thought that counts. Some of the basement-style beats are filthy — like the Cloud Nice crew sprinkled dirt on their Casios before they made ’em.
And while we’re at it, here’s Helladope’s free download, Strickly 4 My DJz mixtape, too.
Hooray for free music!
