Federal Way rapper Romaro Franceswa and the indomitable producer BeanOne dropped a gem of an LP, track-by-track, over the course of November. Balance concluded its roll-out yesterday and can be streamed in its entirety below.

From BeanOne‘s box of classic samples, the video for “High Noon” (off that new 199Yuk ‘tape) serves double duty as a commercial for Officials Vintage on Capitol Hill. Franchise Yukmobbers Fearce Vill and Romaro Franceswa do the raps.
Herein bumps one of the most satisfying listens you’ll come across this calendar year. BeanOne and his Yukmob team (that’s: Fearce Vill, SEV, Romaro Franceswa, Davey Jones, and Cazsh, but who’s counting?) with a new mixtape called 199YUK. Bean reworks a grip of classic beats and samples — from you-know-what decade — into fresh instrumentals for his motheryukkers to recite new raps over. Everything is seamless and each track elicits an iPod search for the original source material. Even better is the communal kinship the “crew tape” format generates (ala classic team-ups like the Wu, Westside Connection, The Firm, and Seattle’s own Massline [RIP], for that matter).
Romaro Franceswa is one of the illest young MCs around Town. Hailing from just south of Seattle and representing BeanOne’s Yukmob label, his new Live From The Soufside is a document of the rapper’s life and times in Federal Way; think a sort of good kid m.A.A.d city for “that town you have to drive through to get to Tacoma.” Preview the moody, bumping EP below and check out his video for “The Big Payback,” which was released back in April and appears on Romaro’s debut LP, Black King.
Yukmob member and thrower of lyrical darts Romaro Franceswa gives the beat all it can handle on his latest single, “The Devil Is A Lie (Talk My Shit)”. Not much to do other than geek out to this one.
Romaro Franceswa is the latest member of BeanOne’s Yuk The World team. The worthy Federal Way spitter displays a far-ranging skill set on his self-titled debut album. From a highly acrobatic flow on “Prodigy”, to a club oriented swagger on “Bounce”, to the soul-tinged “Bella URLovd”, Romaro sets himself up to be next in a long line of talented young MCs jostling for position in the Town.
