VIDEO: “Blue Moons and Green Lights” – Dyme Def

Dyme Def’s new full-length, Yuk the World, drops tomorrow (Tue, 12.6.11). Here then is the refreshingly low-budget video for “Blue Moons and Green Lights,” directed by do-it-all entertainment conglomerate and de facto crew member, BeanOne. The latest chain of clips from Dyme Def has been high on that got-it-for-cheap kitsch which harkens back to the rawness of their debut LP, Space Music. And that’s A-Okay with me.

VIDEO: “Fire Red” – Khat

Every Khat video I’ve seen thus far has been a visual feast of either ambiguous sex or drug non-sequiturs, which are, you know, kinda cool. Sometimes. This one for “Fire Red” has the closest thing resembling a narrative. Affecting performances by the actors involved squeezes an ocean of allegory from the beautiful and disturbing imagery.

Khat has an EP out, too. It’s called Traphouse and you can grab it for free, here.

VIDEO: “4EverGreen” – KeyBoard Kid

Someday I’ll get off my lazy blog ass and develop a fully-formed opinion on this Based sh-t. Until then, thanks to KeyBoard Kid for linking me to his first music video, “4EverGreen.” Casual cool and sh-t talk over slow-roll synth. I’ve liked stuff like this before. Someone tell me why I should stop ignoring the Based World.
