Jasper T. is a singer/songwriter and instrumentalist working on his first album, The Sweet Dark Pt. 1. “Julie” is an acoustic track from that collection featuring one of this blog’s favorite MCs from the 253, John Crown. Word is the two will be working on a collaborative project as well. It’s definitely something different than what we’re used to hearing from JC, but I think it’s pretty fresh.

DJ Phinisey is a name you might not be familiar with but should be. The man has done board work for a number of local artists (Tacoma compatriot, Rockwell Powers, being one of the most formidable) and he’s been known to croon a few bars when the beat calls for it, as well.
